Martie Janse van Rensburg
Janse van Rensburg is a CA (SA) and has more than 20 years’ experience in the water sector. She was CEO of TCTA (Trans Caledon Tunnel Authority) from 1998 to 2008, where she repositioned the TCTA as South African government’s bulk raw water supply developer and liability manager. In addition she was on the Board of Johannesburg Water since inception to 2012. Johannesburg
Water is responsible for delivering water and sanitation services for the City of Johannesburg with its population of 4.5 million.

Janse van Rensburg is an experienced executive and non-executive director, serving in organisations in the public and private sector for the past 16 years, as chairman of the board and of board committees. Her current and past non-executive positions include ACSA, Johannesburg Water, Headstream Water Holdings, NMI Group of companies, First Rand Bank Africa and the Specialised
Finance Credit Committee. She has a sound knowledge of infrastructure development and funding, the repositioning, restructuring and turnaround of businesses. Her work in SADC countries includes Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia and Swaziland. A recent 20-month employment was as a specialist on the Presidential Infrastructure Coordinating Committee Technical Task Team (2012 – 2014). The work focused on the co-ordination, alignment and fast tracking of South Africa’s R4 trillion National Infrastructure Plan.
